LUDINGTON HOUSE B&B - Ludington is a bustling port city on Lake Michigan. The Ludington House B&B is just a few short blocks from the downtown business district, with easy access to shopping, dining and the cross-lake car & passenger ferry service. This Victorian inn features many fine appointments such as hardwood floors, stained glass windows, tiled bathrooms, an original, open curved stairway, a side-sitting porch, 11 ft. first floor ceilings, hot water heat and a full basement. The Ludington House B&B is situated on a large, corner, 1½ lot with a new front sidewalk, new lawn and landscaping. It has a new underground sprinkling system and is bordered by a recently installed low-maintenance, white, vinyl picket fence. In 2008, the exterior of the wood frame building was completely repainted utilizing historically-correct colors. Most of the windows were also replaced which, with the exterior caulking/painting, has helped to drastically reduce the heating costs.  

 

The keeper’s area covers over half of the first floor area and includes their own living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom & office/bedroom. The keeper’s area kitchen and bedrooms was extensively updated in 2007 which included a new foundation for the bedrooms and new appliances and plumbing fixtures, a granite work island and improved lighting for the kitchen area.
